Secret® Deodorant and Sportsnet team up once again to mark another sports broadcast milestone by bringing the Secret® Dream Gap Tour to TikTok for the first ever live streamed hockey game in Canada. The live stream included Sportsnet’s Ailish Forfar and Faizal Khamisa who co‐hosted the pre‐game, intermissions, and post‐game while Harnarayan Singh and Jennifer Botterill provided live play‐by‐play and analysis as Team Sonnet (Toronto) and Team Scotiabank (Calgary) took to the ice at Scotiabank arena in Toronto.

Teaming up to champion equal opportunity for the world’s best women’s hockey players, Secret® Deodorant and Sportsnet announced their partnership to deliver exclusive English‐language TV and streaming coverage of the Canadian leg of the Secret® Dream Gap Tour. Marking a broadcast milestone in Canada, the partnership showcased the superstars of the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association (PWHPA) across live game coverage, exclusive content and crossplatform promotion.

Secret® Deodorant continued to empower and support women by donating $1 million to the PWHPA in an effort to advocate for a sustainable, professional North American league and a better future for women’s hockey. This donation marked the largest corporate donation ever made for professional women’s hockey and funded the PWHPA Secret® Dream Gap Tour and the PWHPA Secret® Cup final – an event that saw 125 professional players from five teams in both Canada and the United States compete on a national stage.

The PWHPA's Dream Gap Tour returned to Toronto for its largest event to date: the Secret® Women's Hockey Showcase, which took place from January 11-12, 2020. Secret® Deodorant joined forces with the PWHPA to advocate for a meaningful change, where all professional hockey players receive the same opportunities, regardless of gender. Over 120 female athletes across six teams took part in the Secret® Women's Hockey Showcase, offering fans the unrivalled excitement of a live, professional hockey game.

Following the abrupt closure of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL), people of all ages turned out in Toronto, Calgary and Montreal to rally in support of the future of women's hockey in Canada. Joined in Toronto by professional women's hockey players Sydney Kidd and Emma Greco, the players reflected on the May 2019 collapse of the CWHL, which left women hockey players with no access to facilities, coaching and training opportunities.
